Sheesh, I'm just a reporting fool lately. Well, Maybe just a fool.
Sunday was Albuquerque Collector Con. Once again I had a total blast. I love getting to talk to people and learn new things. I picked up so many new tips and tricks from so many talented people. It was great.
I felt a little bad because I didn't have any time to prepare any new stuff since Free Comic Book Day, so I really wasn't expecting to do well business wise. I figured I would just go an have fun. Maybe make a connection or two. But I actually did surprisingly well.
But most of all I got to see some of my favorite people again.

and the rest of the crew from 7000 BC comics
[link] were there. An awesome group of people that I really enjoy seeing. I really wish my schedule wasn't so jacked up that I could make it out to a meeting or 2. But I am having lunch with

tomorrow. So that will be pretty cool.

didn't get a table but he did stop by and hung out for a bit. He was pretty busy since he was celebrating his graduation from college! WAY TO GO! GO over to his page and give him some love! He even gave me a Tenjo Tenge bobble boob doll. Sweet. But I did miss him not being there for us to engage in our debaucherous dialogue

But I did get a very sweet surprise, though. I got to sit next to Andy Kuhn
[link] THat was freakin awesome. I probably annoyed the hell out of him, but I didn't care. He has an awesome style that I'm a fan of, so I had to geek out a little. For those who don't know, Andy is an industry pro, worked for pretty much all the big name companies and has his own comic through image right now called FireBreather (which is in development as an animated series for Cartoon Network). It's a great book, you should pick it up.

also stopped by. I hadn't seen him since last Con. He brought his sweet ass portfolio for me to drool over. AND he let me in on a very cool marker coloring tip which works wonders.

and

also stopped by but I didn't get to chat with them for too long. I don't blame them, there were many goodies to seen and peruse. I didn't get my Cleveland fix though

I got to meet a few new people too. Met another artist by the name of Mike Penn who does some amazing paintings. Real jaw droppers. A friend of mine also showed up with her friend and they were peddling their tabletop RPG called Playing Gods. Great concept. You pick which ever religious deity you want and duke it out with each other. Picture Budha with a Vulcan mini gun laying the smackdown on Jesus with a bazooka. Go check it out :
[link]I drew some pretty sweet sketches while I was there also. Even some characters I hadn't drawn in a long time. It was really cool.
For myself I had

draw a kickass Clayface for my Batman wall. and finally found a copy of Powergirl Number 1.
It was a really cool time. It just reminds me of why I do this. To put smiles on people's faces.
Anyway, that's it for now. Now that I don't hae another con for a few months, it's back to the ol drawing board....literaly.

Oh I've been telling everyone about Swace too. I know of a few people who are thinking about getting tables there.

Perhaps at the next con I can just park with you for a while. That'd be very, very cool.

Yeah come and hand out and chat for a spell.
It was also louder in that room than at FCD. At least I thought so , I had a hard time hearing people.
